摘要
Biomorphology, metric characters, and seed germination have been studied in 17 pioneer plant species overgrowing friable erupted materials in the Kamchatka Peninsula. The diversity of pathways of adaptation to stressful growing conditions is discussed. The response of seeds to ultralow temperature (−196°C) has been analyzed to evaluate the possibility of their cryogenic storage.
