Development of a Risk Monitoring Model for NPPs with a VVER-440 Reactor

Risk monitoring technologies are actively used to improve the operational efficiency of nuclear power plants, as well as for ensuring compliance with technological and operational regulatory requirements. The present article describes the process of developing a defense-in-depth tree and justifying the boundaries of risk zones based on international experience in developing such models. Based on the justification, conclusions are drawn about probabilistic safety analysis and risk-monitoring models.
