摘要
In this model, the authors have evaluated availability and profit function for a power distribution system. Since the system is of non-Markovian nature, supplementary variables have been introduced to make the system Markovian. All the failures follow an exponential time distribution, whereas all the repairs follow a general time distribution. The system configuration is shown in Fig. 1. The Laplace transform and the supplementary variables technique have been used to solve and formulate the mathematical model, respectively. The steady-state behavior of the system and a particular case have also been obtained to improve the practical utility of the model. © 2007 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc.
