Emergency ultrasound diagnosis of a ruptured angiomyolipoma causing acute anemia

A 32-year-old female presented with acute, asymptomatic anemia. While vital signs and physical examination were stable and non-diagnostic, utilizing goaldirected bedside ultrasound, a perinephric hematoma consistent with a ruptured angiomyolipoma was discovered as the cause of the patient's condition. © Springer-Verlag 2010.
