摘要
Knowledge workers and their productivity has become the most crucial component for productivity and sus-tainability of SMEs all over the world. Decision-making is an integral part of the business process and one of the main responsibilities of knowledge workers. This study, therefore, focuses on developing a conceptual model to identify and evaluate the contribution of knowledge workers to the decision-making process and the mediating function of the knowledge management system. The proposed conceptual model illustrates the effect of cognitive skills, technical skills, and social skills of the knowledge workers on the knowledge management system (including information technology, human resource, and sharing behavior) and the decision-making process of manufacturing SMEs in Malaysia. The implication of this study may provide a useful reference point for researchers who are interested in research related to the adoption of knowledge workers and knowledge management system.
