摘要
Interactive textbooks are gaining in prominence in the Czech Republic. They are aimed to be potential successors of paper textbooks. These textbooks provide extensions in the form of multimedia and interactive exercises. It is important to verify whether they are capable to attract enough children today. In printed textbooks, there are also differences in the amount of pictures, diagrams etc. The research draws a comparison between 6 textbooks of geography for the 6th form (Elementary School Grade 6, children 10 to 11 years old) - class including one interactive textbook from the point of the amount of non- textual geographic information divided into categories according to their content (images, photos, diagrams, cartographic parts, tables, etc.). A comparison of text difficulty forms a part of the research using the Method of M. Pluskal. The results may help teachers with choosing the most suitable textbook for their pupils. The survey is followed by a pedagogic experiment where a specific textbook is used and its effect on pupils is verified. This is currently in a process of testing.
