Kiwifruit allergy is a recurring cause of food allergy, displaying a variety of symptoms, and potentially associated with cross-reactions with latex, pollen and fruit. The exploration of allergy to kiwifruit allergy comprises skin tests, however these methods lack sensitivity and specificity, specific IgE including available molecular allergens among a total of 13 described to date, and finally oral challenge with kiwifruit. Management is similar to that of other food allergies, but guidelines are lacking with respect to possible cross-reactions and molecular allergen profile. (C) 2022 Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.
