摘要
Wireless energy transfer also known as simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) has gained momentum in proposals for fifth generation (5G) and beyond cellular networks. It is envisioned that it will be a key feature in developing internet of things (IoT) for all devices lacking reliable and steady power supply. In this paper, harvested energy (HE) and energy efficiency (EE) of wireless transmission in mm Wave band are analytically investigated. In that regard, two well stablished wireless channel models presented for 28 GHz band are considered. Simulations and derived closed-form expressions are used to probe effects of channel model parameters on HE and EE.
