摘要
In this paper, application results of a relative localization method based on multi-dimensional scaling algorithm are presented. The applied relative localization method can be considered as an alternative when the access to the global navigation satellite systems is not possible or such systems cannot provide an adequate accuracy. In the application, pairwise distances between 4 instances have been measured using ultra-wideband and ultrasound signal based systems, and then relative coordinates of the instances have been obtained via multidimensional scaling algorithm. Finally, the localization performances of ultra-wideband and ultrasound signal based systems are compared with respect to their corresponding distance measurements and obtained relative coordinates.
