摘要
In this paper we estimate the different strategic path models of Western China Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) using data from the Yearbook of China Small and Medium Enterprises (2001-2004) and Yearbook of China Statistics (2001-2004). Based on empirical research, it's concluded that the China western SMEs should adopt one of the strategic paths: sole efficiency leading strategy, sustainable development leading strategy, sole efficiency-sustainable development transition strategy, and highly effective and harmonious development strategy to further its development. In order to get the fitted path harmonized with natural environment of Western China SMEs, we should apply the methods of policy inclination, system innovation, industrial cluster and strategic alliance to facilitate the development of Western China SMEs.
