On groups with a finite nilpotent upper central quotient

摘要
We obtain a bound on the order of the term gamma(c+1)G in the lower central series of a group G whose upper central quotient G/Z(c)G is nilpotent and finite of known order. Our method involves an analysis of certain Baer invariants of a direct product of groups.
