摘要
Intelligent transport systems (ITS) provide organizational-tehnical-tehnological solutions which enable the racionalization of the transport of entities and improve the quality of life. Implementation of ITS results in telematic applications which cart cover orle particular traffic branch or more of them. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) is the most widely deployed digital wireless communication standard in the world. GSM and its derivat GSM-R (GSM for Railways) have shown that they are proven technology of the future. Digital mobile network GSM-R represents a precondition for implementation of particular telematic applications which makes railway traffic safer and more convenient. This solution assures highly efficient platform by using existing standardized applications UIC (Union Internationale des Chemins de fer) and the creation of the new ones by the operator: MORANE (Mobile Radio for Railway Networks in Europe) research project has managed to convince more than 25 Eur open railway authorities to sign Memory of Understanding (similar to GSM) so that this technology cart be used in the future.
