摘要
The need to adapt a new coping measure for the Russian language sample is founded in the paper. It's Self-Perceived Flexible Coping with Stress (SFCS) by Zimmer-Gembeck, Skinner et al., 2018. A new survey aims to study an important coping characteristic flexibility, which is directly related to the quality of cognitive adaptation. The measure is constructed according to the three levels of coping flexibility: multiple coping, situational coping, and rigid (anti flexible) coping. The inventory includes 20 questions, two of which are open, the rest are closed and differentiated into three subscales. The empirical study sample consists of 329 respondents aged 18-77 (226 women and 103 men). Methods for validation are: WCQ (Folkman, Lazarus, adapted by Kryukova et al., 2003) and Carver's Brief COPE, 1997. During the adaptation process, good psychometric characteristics of the Self-Perceived Flexibility Questionnaire for Coping with Stress were obtained, both in terms of reliability and construct validity. Sex differences in coping flexibility are revealed, which have been taken into account in the obtained empirical norms.
