摘要
The source materials and the utilization of H-2 energy were described. Methanol as hydrogen carrier can widely meet its needs and uses in different areas, especially for the on-board reforming as fuels or as the feed for fuel cell. Catalytic decomposition as one method of methanol reformation was studied in our laboratory. A novel palladium catalyst for methanol decomposition with rare earth metal oxide (REO) modified gamma-Al2O3 as the supports were developed [1]. At 250degreesC for a methanol MHSV of 2.0 h(-1), near total methanol conversion was achieved with high selectivity of H-2 and CO. The 100 hours stability test and 450 hours flexibility operation under rigor conditions showed the catalysts with excellent properties besides high activity at low temperatures.
