ICT APPLICATION PECULIARITIES IN TEACHING/LEARNING OF PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY IN THE LATIN LANGUAGE: CASE STUDY

摘要
The article deals with the challenges in teaching staff work and students' learning when facing the implementation of the innovative professional language teaching (learning) techniques. Aim of the article is to disclose ICT application (corpus linguistics) peculiarities in teaching (learning) of professional medical terminology in the Latin language. Objectives: to disclose the topicality of ICT application, to highlight the peculiarity/specifics of the researched case, and to identify the ICT application peculiarities under the basis of students' (N=42) and lecturers' (T=9) approach. It can be stated that the application of the ICT corpus linguistics for the learning of the Latin professional terminology aids at the relation of the theory with practice and motivates students. The specifics of the researched case is caused by the novelty of the applied methodology, the possibility to exchange experience among universities, when the context of the recipient University is impacted by the post soviet country medical system closeness and relatively aggravated installation process of technologies. The further application of the following method would obligate lecturers to refresh their educational competence and also to find ways how to get some authentic information. On the other hand, special educational measures, enabling teachers to use ICT applications is of crucial importance.
