摘要
Many unusual and reflexive reactions appear as a respond to sudden sound effects in newborn infants. Taking this fact into account we have conducted a research on 700 newborn infants, out of which 350 were premature born and other 350 were full tel-rn babies, in the firs few days after the birth, in order to deter-mine the existence of the sound reaction the time when reaction occurred, reaction duration, quality and localization of reaction. During the research we found out that 92.85% of premature and 95.15% full Ic nn babies react to sound stimulation. The largest number of premature babies, 82.85% react to sound of 100dB, while the largest number of the full term babies, 80% react to sound of 90dB. Reaction appears mostly after a short latent period of 1/10s for the premature babies, while fur the full ter-m babies the latent period was somewhat longer 0.5 to Is. Tn the both examined groups reactions were strong and rapid for 85.7%. Our research proved that as the reaction the most often and noticeable was eye movement in both examined groups. The movement of legs and arms are mor-e expressed (numerically) with premature babies. Sound reaction, i.e., crying as a result to sound stimulation, appeared in 80% of babies of both groups. Reaction to sound did not appear in 7.15% of premature and in 4.85% of full term babies.
