Smart grid design of meter reading system based on wireless sensor networks

摘要
This scheme provides a reliable and economic choice for energy data acquisition. In this paper, the traditional meter reading system has been improved; it presents a new smart meter reading system scheme which is based on the combination of the wireless sensor networks and optical fiber Ethernet, and analyzes the main hardware design of the system. The first layer is RS-485 communication networks, which is responsible for collecting the power quantity of smart electricity meter; the second layer is ZigBee Pro wireless sensor networks, which is responsible for routing the power quantity of smart electricity meter and setting parameters; the third layer is Light brazing Ethernet, which is transmitting the data to the main station. Practice has proved that this scheme can improve the efficiency, save cost, and provide an effective method of area power management.
