摘要
This work is concerned with the peristaltic transport of an incompressible, electrically conducting Maxwell fluid in a planar channel. The flow in the porous space is due to a sinusoidal wave travelling on the channel walls. The Hall effect is taken into account and permeability of porous medium is considered uniform. Modified Darcy's law has been used to model the governing equation. An analytical solution is obtained, which satisfies the momentum equation for the case in which the amplitude ratio is small. The present theoretical model may be considered as mathematical representation to the case of gall bladder and bile duct with stones and dynamics of blood flow in living creatures. Finally, the graphical results are reported and discussed for various values of the physical parameters of interest. (C) 2006 Elsevier B.V All rights reserved.
