Texture in friction stir welds of Timetal 21S

摘要
The beta-titanium alloy, Timetal 21S. was welded by the friction stir welding process. Good weldability was demonstrated for a range of welding parameters. A torsion texture was observed in all welds. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
