Ultrasonic spray pyrolysis for powder synthesis

摘要
The aim of the present work is to synthesize ceramic powders of spherical sub micrometric particles by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. For the execution of the goal a technological set-up for ultrasonic spray pyrolysis has been arranged.. Ultrasonic generator, furnace with three different thermal zones, carrier-gas (air flow) and filter system for produced powders capture were the main components of the equipment. The aerosol medium. has been prepared from aqueous solutions of La-, Sr-, Mn-, Fe-, Co- nitrates at three different concentrations. The maximum temperature of synthesis was 950 degreesC. XRD, SEM, IRS and BET methods have been used for determination of the composition, morphology, particle, size and surface area investigation. It was established that the optimal starting solution concentration is 0.05 mol/l. The obtained perovskite powders possess homogeneous distribution of particles with spherical morphology and specific surface area up to 200 m(2)/g.
