摘要
In this paper, a compact coplanar waveguide-fed planar fractal antenna for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications is designed. The proposed approach consists of two iterations modified Sierpinski hexagonal slots with hexagonal radiation patch and CPW feeding. It has a simple structure with compact size of 16.5x14.5 mm(2). An impedance bandwidth of 112.2% (3.0310.77 GHz) is achieved, with a maximum peak gain of 3.74dBi at 8.15 GHz. With these promising features, this antenna is suitable for UWB communication applications.
