摘要
The CHORUS experiment searches for the appearance of nu(tau) in a beam of nu(mu), by detecting the nu(tau) interaction in a background of nu(mu) induced charged and neutral current events. The tan detection is based on the observation of its short decay path, which is made possible through the high resolution of nuclear emulsion. After three years of data taking a pilot analysis has been performed concentrating on the tau --> mu channel. In this paper, the status of the pilot analysis is reviewed and a first limit on nu(mu) --> nu(tau) oscillations is presented.
