English Characteristics and Translation Skills

With increasingly frequent cultural exchange, and economy and trade between China and foreign country, the application of English becomes wider and wider. In the process of English application, the uppermost thing is English translation; the accurate translation can ensure unobstructed exchange and then promote effective implementation of cultural exchange, and economy and trade. Same as other languages, English has its own characteristics which influence its translation. The translator can accurately understand English characteristics and improve accuracy of English translation only after getting hold of English translation skills. Therefore, this paper mainly starts from English characteristics to discuss English translation skills, so as to provide reference for translator's translation work.
