摘要
Virtual and Remote Labs (VRLs) provide important benefits with respect to reduced costs, availability, accessibility, observability and safety of lab experiments. One can find published work on VRLs from as early as 1993. Creating virtual lab experiments for learning via remote experimentation, involves the use of proprietary licensed software mostly due to the unavailability of an alternate free open source software (FOSS) at development time or an absence of a FOSS conversion process. We propose in this paper, a process flow and an algorithm for FOSS conversion of existing virtual lab experiments, that were developed using proprietary software.
