摘要
The paper presents a comparative analysis of magnetic field shielding, applying various shield geometries and different shielding materials (copper, aluminum and zinc-coated iron tin). The main goal of the paper is to examine the effect of cylindrical and hemicylindrical shields, as well as plate-shaped shields of two different sizes. For numerical calculations, COMSOL Multiphysics program package, based on finite element method was applied. In order to quantify the shielding quality, the shielding effectiveness (SE) was introduced. The calculated results show that the best effect of reducing magnetic flux density vector magnitude outside the shield can be achieved by applying two different observed shields: the cylindrical shield made of the combination of copper/zinc-coated iron and the larger plate built of zinc-coated iron and copper, provide practically the same outcome.
