摘要
All chemically used carbon in the blast furnace will be emitted as corbondioxid to the atmosphere after energetic use of the carbonmonoxid and carbondioxid containing blast furnace gas (top gas) and after processing of the carbon containing hot metal. On occasion of the emission trading the question arises whether the blast furnace can be operated without coke and carbon and without CO2 emission. To answer this question the physical and chemical tasks of the coke in the blast furnace as well as the limits for the use of hydrogen as reducing agent in the blast furnace are shown.
