摘要
A high-cycle fatigue strength step tests on gamma TiAl is discussed. It was found that coaxing was not occurred during fatigue step testing of cast gamma TiAl. The apparent coaxing was due to the inherent material scatter and the method of conducting the test. The analysis suggested the use of step testing to assess the robustness of the material to impact damage.
