摘要：
Most of the natural products and biologically active molecules have acetals as their building block. As per the research, the biological activity of the chiral acetals is superior to their racemates. Owing to the racemization, the asymmetric synthesis of chiral acetal is challenging, and thus it attracts the research community's interest. In the present review, various strategies devised for the synthesis of chiral O,O- acetals having spirooxindoles scaffold have been discussed. Copyright (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
