摘要
Chemistry is generally seen by students as a difficult-to-learn discipline. This can be attributed principally to the way content is usually presented by teachers, because, almost always, the teaching strategies are those in which the content is little contextualized. As a consequence, students take a passive position in learning and theory is far from practice. Then, it becomes necessary to use teaching methodologies providing greater participation to the students in the teaching-learning process. In this context, cooperative learning methods can assume this role in Chemistry teaching, besides, developing interpersonal skills. We verify contributions of the Co-Op Co-Op cooperative learning method in the teaching-learning process for the content of organic functions, in a class of eight-grade. Therefore, questionnaires were applied in the Likert format, to verify both the learning of the chemical content and the socio-educational development of the students. Results show that approximately 64% of the students were able to better assimilate the chemical content studied, in addition to the development of social skills, such as the student-student and teacher-student relationship.
