摘要
In modern industry the companies have to react quickly to the market demands and requirements in order to satisfy the necessities of the users. Then, flexible and fast manufacturing processes are required to manage the changes in the production. On the other hand the characteristics of certain materials such as tungsten carbide providing high strength toughness and wear resistance are very useful to fulfil the requirements of some applications, but this behaviour makes the manufacturing of components very difficult. Nowadays, the manufacturing processes used for production of tungsten carbide components are grinding and electro discharge machining. This work presents the use of milling to provide the required flexibility and speed and to improve the cost the machining time and the surface quality achieved in the manufacturing process.
