摘要
Healthy specimens of Gambusia affinis were exposed to lethal concentrations of para-cresol and para-chlorophenol for 96 h by static renewal bioassay tests. The LC50 values for 24, 48, 72 and 96 h were 40, 38, 35 and 33 mg/liter for para-cresol and 28, 26, 23 and 21 mg/liter for para-chlorophenol. The results indicate that para-chlorophenol is more toxic than para-cresol to the said fish. A marked decrease in the rate of oxygen consumption was found at higher concentrations for both phenolics.
