Study of resource discovery protocol in the context of Internet-based manufacturing

摘要
Resource discovery is of key importance to the sharing of manufacturing resource in the context of Internet-based manufacturing. In this paper, an in-depth analysis of typical service discovery protocols is made. To meet the specific requirements of Internet-based manufacturing, a novel resource discovery paradigm is presented, which integrates Jini-based auto-discovery and Web-based interactive search. In the end, a research prototype is introduced, which preliminarily demonstrates the effectiveness of the approach to sharing manufacturing resource presented in this paper.
