Nominalization as a discursive strategy in political discourse: comparative analysis of Spanish and Chinese

Nominalization has been broadly used in political discourse, so it has attracted attention in linguistic research. This paper focuses on the research objects of the verb nominalization and the transition from verb sentence to nominal phrase. Related characteristics and innovation of nominalization research include: on the one hand, it interprets the linguistic characteristics and functions of so-called nominalization, and tries to illustrate why it can become one of the significant characteristics of political discourse; on the other hand, from the perspective of grammar, it studies the difference between Spanish and Chinese in nominalization, as well as the frequency and regularity of this discourse strategy being used in the political discourse.
