摘要
During the last decades a new independent kind of facial toothed joints and gearings (FTJ&G) has been developed. In this paper the terminology and classification of FTJ&G are stated, and the principle and particular features of the construction of the terms' formation for FTJ&G and their elements are examined. The classification of the gears, toothed joints and gearings is formed on the basis of the introduced base distinctive feature that is a kind of basis for the forming of the tooth link's teeth. This classification has three main classes: surface, flatness and flatness-surface. Due to this base distinctive feature FTJ&G are subdivided into two classes which are flatness and flatness-surface. The example of the construction of the facial cylindrical gearing characteristic is given. The terms are supplied with graphic interpretation to provide a better understanding for different users.
