摘要
This paper deals with the eddy current nondestructive evaluation of the distance between parts in metallic assemblies. An experimental study of the coupling of a magnetic cup core coil sensor with a metallic layered structure is carried out and confirmed by finite element modeling simulations. This study allows behavioral models of the sensor/structure interactions to be built, and two estimation methods to be proposed. The first one is based on the inversion of a polynomial forward model, and the second one on an inverse model. Both techniques are implemented, characterized and compared. The second one is proved to be more accurate when the signal to noise ratio of the eddy current data decreases.
