摘要
Computer-based biological simulation models are used to predict the effects of different management practices and land use systems on agricultural production and on the environment. AEGIS/WIN (Agricultual and Environmental Geographic Information System for Windows) is user-friendly software for the visualization of simulation results using farm or region maps. It was developed to link the simulation system DSSAT v3 with the geographic information system (GIS) software tool ArcView 2.0. AEGIS/WIN helps the user to create new maps by tracing the field borders of scanned background maps, photograps or satellite images. DSSAT v3 is used to create model input files and to run simulations. Simulation results can be easily analyzed using statistics, business charts and thematic maps.
