摘要
Tn this paper we propose a standard realistic head model to process EEG data for neural source localization. This model is adapted in length, width and height to each patient's head. We use simulated dipoles implanted in different brain regions (temporal, parietal, frontal, occipital) of six different patients in order to quantify the errors involved with this geometric approximation, which are on average 0.7cm. When real clinical data from interictal spikes is used these errors are 0.5cm. This approach is three times more accurate than using spherical models, doesn't need MRI information and can be easily applied in routine EEG dipole localization.
