摘要
A study is conducted on an impedance-matching technique for the latching ferrite variable polarizer in a circular cylindrical waveguide. Using the mode-matching method, a formula is developed for the calculation of the design parameters of a lambda /4 impedance-matching transformer. Excellent agreement is observed between the analytical result and measurement. Furthermore, an improved impedance-matching technique is introduced to increase the bandwidth from 4.06 to 14.5%. This provides qualitative guidance for the design of analogous devices. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
