The exploitation of working men, women, and children is intrinsic to the society we live in. But we must be careful not to emulate the logic of the state which legitimises as well as condemns the exploitation. The issue of rights cannot be resolved as long as the predatory, rapacious, capitalist system is at the root of the system. The struggle for rights should not be merely for what the social system, governed by the state, is willing to concede but to change the very nature of society itself. It should not be sectoral bur encompass the entire fabric of human beings and the context within which they survive.
