摘要
The conventional fire detection systems are predisposed to generate false alarms. In this paper, we discuss the design and implementation of an effective and cost-effective fire detection system using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) and Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication to detect fires effectively and eliminate false alarms. The system uses smoke and temperature sensors to activate or cease operation. A Smart Message Service (SMS) capability was introduced in fire alarms system to alert inhabitants on fire conditions. The main purpose of this paper was to design and implement a fire detection system that works effectively. The results reveal that the system fulfills the specifications. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd.
