摘要
One of methods widely used to manage waste in the incineration of organic parts of waste in order to obtain thermal and electric, but also to reduce the space occupied by the existing waste disposal sites. As no plants of this type have so far been built in Croatia, a through technical and economic analysis of existing plants has been made so as to determine technical conditions that would guarantee good economic performance of such plants. the most widely spread technology, with best waste gas purification solutions, has been selected. a special account is given of other by-products generated by waste incineration plants, such as harmful compounds including dioxine and furan. Disposal of solid residues such as ash is also described. Revenues to be generated through production of energy were also analyzed, but it was concluded that waste recovery plants can not be profitable at the current waste disposal prices.
