Design of a diode-pumped multipass amplifier for the LMJ front-end

摘要
We present the design of a diode-pumped Neodymium glass amplifier delivering one Joule output pulses with, a 1Hz to 10Hz repetition rate, good stability due to diode pumping and good bean properties due to the uniformity of energy deposition. The amplifier architecture is simple and rugged. We show that, when an amplifier with an amplification section of about 1cm(2) is considered, 5J useful stored energy yields an output pulse with a more than If energy and with low spatial and temporal distortions.
