Quantitative analysis of the extent of economic globalization

The extent of economic globalization of sixteen countries is evaluated with principal component analysis method. Fifteen indexes are used, which include production, investment, commerce and finance. These countries are classified into four categories with hierarchical clustering method according to the calculation result. China ranks in the middle of the world, but is on top of the developing countries.
