摘要：

This paper aims at exploring Eileen Chang's self-translation Stale Mates from the perspective of eco-translatology. Eco-translatology is first introduced. Having made a careful comparison between the English original and the Chinese self-translation, the paper finds that Chang made additions and changes of the original. These differences can be explained through the language and culture perspective of eco-translatology.
