摘要
To evaluate the costs of emission reduction P&M, according to the Kyoto targets, reliable databases detailing existing and new energy technologies are required, in combination with bottom-up, technical-economic models of the energy systems. The IPCC Second Assessment Report explicitly recommended the use of such databases to prepare mitigation strategies. Tn this paper, advantages and drawbacks of these tools are discussed. With reference to example technologies, comparisons between relevant data from a specific national database and those from similar tools of different organisations and countries are presented.
