Tafreshichyzeria hessabyi n. gen., n. sp. (Acari: Chyzeriidae) is described and illustrated from larvae ectoparasitic on adults of unidentified grasshoppers (Orthoptera: Acrididae) from Arak, Iran. A key to the genera of Chyzeriinae of the world (larvae) is presented.
