摘要
The system of land administration provides the basis for the management of the most valuable resource of humans - the land. In many countries, including Slovenia, the system has been developed over decades, even centuries, for different purposes. In recent decades, it has been shown that a multipurpose land administration system, i.e. land cadastre, brings many advantages for the society and might importantly contribute to its prosperity. Due to the vital role of land administration for the society, new visions and conceptual models of land administration systems have become the topic of several international scientific as well as professional discussions and initiatives. Approaches to development and implementation of contemporary systems differ among the countries and are conditioned by the culture of individual nations, their economic progress and other factors. The main purpose of this paper is to give an overview of international (global and European) guidelines and trends in the field of land administration. Highlighted are the current activities and documents of the United Nations (UN), International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), International Organisation for Standardization (ISO). A special emphasize is on the presentation of scientific work in this field, which often provides the basis for voluntary guidelines as well as for binding directives.
