摘要
This article analyzes the impact of Spanish migration in the ports of Mexico enabled for international traffic in the period 1822-1843, through the passenger lists found in the Archivo General de la Nacion (AGN) and the news of passen-gers appeared in the nineteenth-century newspapers. It seeks to offer an overall profile of the Spanish flow with the use of serial and quantitative methods. Like-wise, the maritime transport used, the navigation routes and the procedures for entering the receiving land are analyzed. It is argued that, notwithstanding the state of war between Mexico and Spain, Hispanophobia and the restrictions on the landing of the subjects of the Catholic Majesty of her, the Spanish migratory current did not stop, although it presented ups and downs.
