The effect of the La/Ce ratio on the electrochemical performance of hydrogen storage alloys

摘要
This paper studied effect of the La/Ce ratio on the characteristics of hydrogen storage alloys. A method to prolong the cycle life of alloys that is lessened due to the decrease of Co content was investigated. It was found that with the decrease of the ratio of La/Ce, discharge capacity and activation performance of alloys are decreased while cycle life and discharge potential plateau of alloys are increased remarkably. The reason to cause these changes was analyzed through the analysis of XRD, XPS, ICP and EDS.
