摘要
The electrochemical behavior of oxidized 304L stainless steel samples was studied under demineralized water at 120 degrees C conditions, comparing the influence of deposits of platinum and silver nanoparticles, respectively. It was determined from the obtained polarization curves that silver nanoparticle deposits over oxidized 304 L stainless steel surfaces induce a decrease in the Electrochemical Corrosion Potential compared to pure oxidized 304L stainless steel and an oxidized 304L SS surface with a platinum deposit. This change was associated with a difference in the bandgap of the system 304SS/Ag. The interchange current density i(0) is not significantly modified by the silver or platinum deposits.
